Our First Snowfall of the Year!

We finally got the first snowstorm of the year. We were beginning to think that we were not going to get any snow for the season. It was still pretty crazy how it all came down, though.

Wednesday was in the mid-50s. You were warm enough w/ just a sweatshirt.

Then Thursday came & we had to bring out the boots, snow pants, hats & gloves.

We got 6 1/2 inches here. This is WI & it's not surprising any more. Our sweet Nicolas came home from school that day & went out & started shoveling. Our neighbors were also out there shoveling. Nicolas had a great time enjoying the fresh snow in the woods w/ Vince.

We hope everyone enjoyed the snow as well. Take care & be safe:)

Our Christmas was great!! Christmas eve, we went to Candy Cane Lane to look @ the Christmas lights. Then we came home & watched The Muppets& a Christmas Carol. We watch it every Christmas eve. Then Nico got ready for Santa to come. He wrote his note, set out cookies for Santa & carrots for the reindeers.

Christmas morning was really nice. All 3 of us got what we asked "Santa" for.

Then we went to Vince's parents house to celebrate Christmas w/ them

and his sister & her family. The time spent there was a challenge but nice.

We ended the night @ my dad's house. It was so nice & quiet there. It was

really nice to see my brother & his family. We don't get to see them very much through

the year.

So overall Christmas was awesome for us. 2011 was a very interesting year for us.

So much more things we wanted to get done by the end of the year.

But we just ran out of time. We are ready for year 2012 & all the adventures

that awaits us.

We hope that all of you had a great Christmas & a fun but safe New Year's.

Halloween Fun!

This year for Halloween, Nicolas wanted to be Vince. So, the boys dressed

up in scrubs & we gave Nico a beard. We went to Vince's

grandmas house to trick o treat. She lives in Bay View. We go there every year because

Nicolas loves helping w/ handing out the candy. Boy, do they get the kids trick o treating.

Every year, we have so much fun there!!

Pumpkin Madness

This past weekend we went to Swan's pumpkin farm & picked out some pumpkins.

It was such a nice weekend. It would have been a sin to stay indoors. So, we

craved the pumpkins outside. It was so much fun:)

We also went to Boo @ the Zoo. It was insanely busy!!! The lines were so long to get

in the zoo & to just get off the freeway. When we did finally get in, we made a

beeline to see the Big Cats. The lion cubs were out w/ their mom. They were

sooo cute. I could've spent all night there. It was a lot of fun. I'm happy we went:)

Nicolas and his gun!

Vince took Nicolas to the gun range the other day. This was Nicolas's first time shooting a gun & going to the gun range. He was shooting AK-47. Nicolas really enjoyed himself. I really had a hard time w/ Nicolas shooting a gun & going to the gun range. But, Vince taught him gun safety

& to be responsible when he is using/around guns.

Vince said that he did really good. He was hitting the bull eyes all the time. It's another

sign that he is getting older. I'm still learning not to be so overly protective.

He is now walking home from school on his own. He is growing up way to fast

for our liking. Well, we hope everyone is enjoying the Fall & the changing of the leaves.
