Our Christmas was great!! Christmas eve, we went to Candy Cane Lane to look @ the Christmas lights. Then we came home & watched The Muppets& a Christmas Carol. We watch it every Christmas eve. Then Nico got ready for Santa to come. He wrote his note, set out cookies for Santa & carrots for the reindeers.

Christmas morning was really nice. All 3 of us got what we asked "Santa" for.

Then we went to Vince's parents house to celebrate Christmas w/ them

and his sister & her family. The time spent there was a challenge but nice.

We ended the night @ my dad's house. It was so nice & quiet there. It was

really nice to see my brother & his family. We don't get to see them very much through

the year.

So overall Christmas was awesome for us. 2011 was a very interesting year for us.

So much more things we wanted to get done by the end of the year.

But we just ran out of time. We are ready for year 2012 & all the adventures

that awaits us.

Halloween Fun!

This year for Halloween, Nicolas wanted to be Vince. So, the boys dressed

up in scrubs & we gave Nico a beard. We went to Vince's

grandmas house to trick o treat. She lives in Bay View. We go there every year because

Nicolas loves helping w/ handing out the candy. Boy, do they get the kids trick o treating.

Every year, we have so much fun there!!

Pumpkin Madness

This past weekend we went to Swan's pumpkin farm & picked out some pumpkins.

It was such a nice weekend. It would have been a sin to stay indoors. So, we

craved the pumpkins outside. It was so much fun:)

We also went to Boo @ the Zoo. It was insanely busy!!! The lines were so long to get

in the zoo & to just get off the freeway. When we did finally get in, we made a

beeline to see the Big Cats. The lion cubs were out w/ their mom. They were

sooo cute. I could've spent all night there. It was a lot of fun. I'm happy we went:)

Nicolas and his gun!

Vince took Nicolas to the gun range the other day. This was Nicolas's first time shooting a gun & going to the gun range. He was shooting AK-47. Nicolas really enjoyed himself. I really had a hard time w/ Nicolas shooting a gun & going to the gun range. But, Vince taught him gun safety

& to be responsible when he is using/around guns.

Vince said that he did really good. He was hitting the bull eyes all the time. It's another

sign that he is getting older. I'm still learning not to be so overly protective.

He is now walking home from school on his own. He is growing up way to fast

for our liking. Well, we hope everyone is enjoying the Fall & the changing of the leaves.

My Foot is Broken Again!!

So, back in June my ankle/foot started to hurt & it swelled to twice the size it should be.

We went to the doctor but they just gave me a water pill. It didn't help. I saw a different doctor & she did X-Rays of both of my feet. Guess what they found....a broken left foot!!!!

I broke the same foot 2 years ago. Both times, I have no idea how I could've broke them. The doctor thinks that it may have to do w/ the way I walk due to my back problems. So, now I have to wear this stupid shoe for 6 weeks.

It never ends. There is always something. I guess there is nothing that I can do about it. Just go w/ the flow. But sometimes it's too much to handle!!!!

Raccoons, Deer, Squirrels, Ooh My

This was a lot of fun. But now Nico wants to go every night. The nights we went, Nico was having a bad couple of days. This cheered him up. We would do anything to make Nico smile.

Our 4th grader!

Nicolas is officially a 4th grader!! We can't believe it. We still remember bring him home the hospital. He likes school so far. He got the teacher he wanted & a couple of his friends are in class w/ him. Swim starts in a couple of weeks. We can't wait. I can't believe summer is just about over. But,it's going to be Fall & we love this season. We are looking forward to a great year:)

This was taken @ the state fair park. Look @ his arms!!!!! He has started working out w/ Vince lately. He is so proud of himself. It's great to see him w/ pride & confidence. Just think that he will be 10 in a couple of months.

Nicolas attended archery camp this past week. This was the first time he ever shot a bow & arrow. He had a blast!!!!! It was so much fun watching him. It was a good feeling watching him laugh & just having a great time:)
