This girl's name is Emily. She is 14 years old and a freshman in high school. All year she has been chasing Nicolas around. SHE!! has a crush on Nicolas!!!!!! She thinks he is sooooo cute and a great swimmer. Yeah, we already knew that. These two were pretty funny to watch. A lot of his male teammates were jealous of this. Oh well1 What can we say accept he is a ladies man. I'm not sure I'm ready for this, yet.

These kids swam a 200 yd. Medley Relay.

They took 1st place!!!:) This was the most exciting race we've ever seen. These kids were awesome! All of us were so proud of them, and they were proud of themselves, too.

Nicolas had his swim conference this past Saturday. He did amazing!!! He beat almost all of his times. We swam against 4 other teams. what happens is that they will take your overall best time in the strokes you will be swimming. Whoever as the best time wins. If you win first or second, you got a medal. The rest got ribbons. Here are his times.

50 yd. Butterfly,

final time: 55.17

came in 1st place but overall took 5th place.

50 yd. Freestyle

came in 2 place, but overall took 7th place. This race he swam against 11&12 year olds!

50 yd. Backstroke

final time:54.00

he took 9th place.

This year was a blast. Now swim is done until September. So, we have to find something else for him to do. The 3 of us will surely miss it though!

Sharks vs Riverside high

We had another swim meet. This time we went up against Riverside high school. He did really good. Here are the strokes and scores.

50 yd. Backstroke 53.62 He took 3rd place:)

50 yd. Butterfly 1:00.72 He took 3rd place:)

That night was a very long night. He also swam 2 relays but the other teams did better, so no ribbons for them.:( Okay, that's all for now. Lots of love to all of you.

Rawson Spring Concert

Earlier this month, Nico had his school spring concert. He did great!:) He has been practicing at home for months now. We were getting sick of these songs. Each class sang 4 songs. The theme this was "Going places".

February 2011 Winter Storm!

So, the BIG storm was crazy!!!! We got 20 inches. Vince used both the snowblower and the shovel from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our heat stopped working because of the storm. so I had candles lit everywhere. Plus we made Nicolas put an extra layer of clothes on. Luckily, Vince fixed it by mid-afternoon. Also, by then Nicolas was outside w/ Vince helping him out. We wanted to share some of our photos from the storm.

The above picture is the front of our house. Believe it or not we had our unusual squirrels in our front yard. They were looking for food but they were also playing with each other.

We're ready for summer. We hope everyone made it through the storm all right. Sending love and warm thoughts to all of you:)

Sharks vs Tidal Wave

Nicolas had a swim meet last Thursday ( 10th ). He did pretty good. A little bit of a off night.

He wasn't feeling good and he was pretty tired. Plus the meet was unexpected. So

everyone was having a crummy night. His strokes were:

50 Backstroke 51.00 1st place

50 Butterfly 1:06.00 3rd place

50 Freestyle 49.92 4th place

He also did 2 relays, but his team didn't do good. But regardless what kind of night he was having, he still did really well. We are proud of him!!

January 11th, we lost our beloved Montana:(

She was 12 years old. We watched her fight to get better for 2 months. She became sick in early November with liver failure. We did everything to get her better. There were alot of ups and downs, but December came and she acted like a puppy again and she seemed to get better.

It was the best thing we could ask for. But 2 days after Christmas, she became sick again. We did everything again but this time it didn't help. We told her it was okay to go and once we said that, she kissed us. The next day she died in our arms from liver failure.

Our love for her is greater than any words can express. Our sadness is the same. Nicolas is comforted in knowing he has another angel, but it is still painful.

We love & miss you, Montana!!
